TCU Welcomes a New Era of Athlete Performance Research

TCU recently announced the launch of the Roach Institute of Athlete Engineering, an interdisciplinary institute that will study how athletes, military personnel and workers in physically demanding jobs train, perform and recover in high-pressure environments. The institute is funded by a $10 million gift from The Roach Foundation of Fort Worth.

2026 Celebration of Philanthropy Showcases Student, Faculty Research on the Road to R1 Status

Faculty and students recently spent an evening showing university donors how their transformative support is advancing groundbreaking research, scholarship and creative activities that elevate TCU’s impact and national reputation. The goal is to propel the university toward a Research 1 (R1) designation in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, which ultimately benefits all members of the campus community and beyond. The 2026 Celebration of Philanthropy also honored TCU’s leadership donors and recognized the establishment of the J. Luther King, Jr. Endowed Chair in Finance.

Bezos Family Foundation Gift to Help Expand Educational Research at TCU

A new endowed fund made possible by a $3 million investment from the Bezos Family Foundation will help expand the TCU College of Education’s research initiatives, fueling the science of learning while bolstering faculty-led research and community-engaged projects that address critical education issues. The endowment was established in recognition of the College of Education’s centennial year.

TCU Alumna Provides Transformational Naming Gift for College of Science & Engineering

TCU’s second largest college has a new name: the Louise Dilworth Davis College of Science & Engineering. A $40 million gift from the 1977 alumna will support the college’s strategic plan and operations in perpetuity and will also endow the college’s deanship, the Louise Dilworth Davis Dean. Mrs. Davis previously made significant gifts of more than $5 million to support TCU student scholarships and endowed faculty and programs in the college.
